Harborough District Council is aware of the unauthorised operational development on the Land at Wells Close, Woodway Lane, Claybrooke Parva.
A Temporary Stop Notice was served on 17 May 2019 requiring the land owner to stop the unauthorised work, including excavation and the importation of soil.
However, the work continued on site and on 21 May 2019 the Council obtained an interim injunction from the High Court preventing the land owner and any persons unknown to site any caravans/mobile homes, lay any hardstanding or pipes, excavate any ground, import or deposit any material or erect any building or structure unless planning permission is granted.
If the injunction is breached the land owner will be guilty of contempt of court and could be sent to prison.
Harborough District Council takes planning enforcement breaches very seriously and will take the necessary legal action to maintain the integrity of the planning law system and protection of the public.
