Less than a month to go to Saturday 7th October which will see the 7th Annual Wine Fair take place in Lutterworth.

Once again the Wine Fair will be held in the recently refurbished Wycliffe Rooms, in George Street (next to Lutterworth Library), making an even more convivial venue for those attending.

As ever, old friends from The Association of Small Direct Wine Merchants (ASDW) will be with us once again, such as Bordeaux and Beyond with their superb collection of French wines, Cressis, with a range of boutique wines and Hyde Park Wines with their unique ‘Sticky Wines’ – ideal for accompanying curries!

Locally we are delighted to welcome back Bat & Bottle with their superb Italian Wines and a new merchant this year, Walkabout Wines, specializing in wines from New South Wales in Australia.

Also returning this year are the company who created the most interest last year – Character Wines, importers of wines from one of the major wine producers in the world – INDIA.

India is a rapidly emerging wine economy in terms of both production and consumption, and has the potential to become a significant player on the world wine scene. This stems from the fact that the country has consistently experienced the highest growth in consumption in the world – around 20–30% a year between 2002 and 2010. To meet this demand India has a mix of well-established and evolving domestic wineries.

All in all, a wine to suit everyone’s taste.

Want to know what cheese will go with that wine? Well our old friends Gilmorton Stores will once again be on hand with a range of cheeses, chutneys and other accompaniments.

Opening times will be Noon – 6.00pm and admittance remains at just £3.00.

All in all the 7th Annual Lutterworth Wine Fair will be an experience not to be missed.

The wine fair is a charitable event with all proceeds going to The Lutterworth Mayor’s charity appeal.
